A Sensible Voice.

I've always admired Max Hastings and I'm a big fan of his war history books. As much as I hate to admit defeat I think he's right:

I deeply admire our troops and all that they've achieved and will support their actions until my dying days. I do think it's time to say enough is enough, we've been in that country for 6 years now supposedly fighting to make the region secure so we can provide 'democracy' for everyone. What's really happened is that we have wrongly sacrificed too many brave boys and girls lives so that the Afghan President can stay in power via a very dodgy election result. Well, you've had your chance and you blew it, we've tried to show you the way but you're not interested in dragging your armpit of a country out of the gutter.

The sooner we all leave that country the better.

Pot meet Kettle.

Winky McFuckNutt criticises Kharsi's regime:

Hang on a minute Gordo, at least they've had a chance to elect a President albeit a thoroughly bent one. How did you get in to power again? I can't ever remember being asked who I wanted for Prime Mentalist and even if I had I wouldn't have chosen you.

Democracy at work, my arse.
